It is not uncommon for some patients to experience results lasting closer to five months. In clinical studies, duration has shown a range from approximately three months up to seven months. Because of this variability, some patients may only require treatment two times per year, while others benefit from maintenance closer to three times per year.

Another important factor is your aesthetic preference. Some patients prefer very minimal movement for a smoother appearance, while others want to maintain more natural expression. Around two weeks after your appointment, you will receive a text reminder asking you to frown, raise your eyebrows, and smile to ensure everything feels balanced and symmetrical. This timing allows the neurotoxin to fully settle before evaluating results.

If a touch up is needed, you are welcome to schedule a follow up visit within three weeks of your original appointment. You may also choose to pre book a reassessment visit at the time of your initial treatment for approximately two weeks later. During this visit, we reassess your results and make any necessary adjustments.

Touch ups performed within this three week window are included and are not charged separately. Our goal is to ensure your results feel balanced, natural, and complete, with no surprises and no added pressure.

There is little to no downtime after cosmetic neurotoxin treatment. Most patients return to normal daily activities immediately following their appointment.

Any time a needle is placed into the skin, there is always a risk of bruising. While we take every precaution to minimize this and use precise techniques, we cannot guarantee that bruising will not occur. If a bruise does develop, it is typically small and temporary.

Some patients may notice mild redness, swelling, or small bumps at the injection sites immediately after treatment. These usually resolve within a few hours. Makeup can typically be applied later the same day if needed.

If a bruise does occur and you would like it to resolve more quickly, we do offer a bruise treatment option. When appropriate, this service can help accelerate resolution within approximately twenty four to forty eight hours. The bruise treatment is available for an additional fifty dollars and can be scheduled as needed.

We generally recommend avoiding strenuous exercise, excessive heat, or lying flat for several hours after treatment to allow the neurotoxin to settle as intended. Your provider will review aftercare instructions with you so you know exactly what to expect.

On the same day, cosmetic neurotoxin treatments can be safely combined with other injectable services as part of a comprehensive treatment plan. In addition to neurotoxins, we can also perform collagen stimulating injectables such as Sculptra and Radiesse, as well as dermal fillers, PRP, PRF, and biofiller treatments during the same visit.

This allows us to address facial movement, volume, and skin quality together in a thoughtful and efficient way. For this reason, we intentionally avoid combining these procedures during the same visit.

If you are planning to undergo microneedling or laser treatments, we strongly recommend scheduling them approximately two weeks after your neurotoxin appointment. This timing allows the neurotoxin to fully settle and achieve its intended effect.

Our approach is purposeful. The role of cosmetic neurotoxins is to relax the muscles that create wrinkles. Once muscle movement has been softened, skin focused treatments such as microneedling or laser therapy can then be used to rejuvenate the surface of the skin, improve texture, and address the lines that already exist.
