Ultrasound-Guided Filler Dissolving (Hyaluronidase Injection)
This is a perfect example of ultrasound-guided accuracy in dissolving dermal filler. This client struggled with a persistent pocket in the anterior cheek for years—despite multiple prior dissolving attempts elsewhere. Using real-time imaging, I was able to identify subtle filler transition into the superficial medial cheek fat—a common but often missed culprit for puffiness.Fun fact: This was actually one of my very first ultrasound-guided Hylenex cases from almost three years ago. Get rid of those pesky 11 lines! These were done over a few sessions. Used a neurotoxin to stop the muscle from contracting. You have to completely freeze the complex including the depressor supercilii and nasalis due to a compensatory pull. The dermal filler Versa was placed in the lines strategically to optimize safety. This area is very dangerous as the supratrochlear artery runs through this area.
